At AT&T we have an airside pass for Heathrow which enables us to deliver to contractors working at sites on the customs and security cleared side of the airport such as Arrivals and Departure areas. We have dedicated members of staff and vans that have the correct permits and I.D to be able to deliver to these locations.
As an airside Electrical Wholesaler and Distributor we have the ability to take anything from small boxes to full vans airside. Each vehicle gets x-rayed and checked allowing the consignments to then be delivered to the contractor’s location. Usually the contractor would have to go through security clearance for each delivery, costing valuable time meeting the courier outside the airport and then having to take deliveries through the security checking procedure themselves.

The requirements of the three FORS quality levels endorse our objective of a ‘Best Practise’ mindset across our entire logistics operations, which is why we are working to achieve Gold accreditation. This will see us invest in upgrading our fleet management processes, management and driver training and enhanced vehicle safety and efficiency. We are also working with our own partners and upstream suppliers to encourage their own participation in FORS.
